The Best Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) for Enterprise ROBO, SMB & Edge

Changing the Heartbeat or Synchronization Channel IPs

Steps

Click on the corresponding device in the StarWind management console. In the right side window, find the Replication Node Interfaces button (for version 8 and above) and click on it.

In the appeared window, you can remove and add heartbeat and synchronization interfaces for the specific device on the fly. While adding the interface, set the checkbox “Use as Heartbeat” to add Heatbeat interface and leave it unchecked to add the interface for the Synchronization.

Please make sure that you are changing only one interface at a time to avoid split brain issue when the synchronization channel is interrupted without heartbeat enabled.
