Explanation

With L2 cache in “Write-Through” mode, the device will become non-active and will not be reachable for client machine(s).

  • To fix this, you would have to disable L2 cache on your non-active device by following this guidance: Adding, Changing and removing L2 cache.
  • After disabling L2 cache, you will need to restart StarWind Virtual SAN service in order to implement changes that were made in header file with .swdsk extension for corresponding non-active StarWind device.
  • Once all those manipulations are done, your device will become active and will start synchronizing with his partner device on corresponding partner node.
